Quick, easy, painless "Selective De-saturation".

"You have seen those beautiful black and white photos with a touch of color here and there. They look very difficult to do but, they are actually very simple. Follow these easy steps. This is done using Photoshop 7 but any version should work."

  1. Open your photo in Photoshop. Make sure foregroundbackground is set to blackwhite.
  2. Select the paintbrush tool. Click the  mode dropdown menu and change the mode from normal to color.

   Now just paint over the area you wish to de-saturate.

 

 

 .

 

  You can change the size of the brush for working in different areas.

  Try changing the background color to a brown tone to see a sepia look!
