Making a Patterned Brush

This is just kind of a neat little trick. I have a brush that will stamp my name and email address along the edge of my prints. I also use this to put the little name & year down in the corner of Senior Portraits.

1. Make a new file. 300x300 pixels @ 300 dpi. Put whatever you want in the box. Try to fill it edge to edge. If you find out later that this is too big, make a smaller one! :)

2. Crop in to your design very tightly.

3. Hit Ctrl+A to select all of the image. On the brushes pallette, click on the small arrow in the upper right hand corner and select Define Brush. A new brush will appear in the end spot of your brushes palette. (If you are using a lettering stamp brush, you can "brand" it onto a new layer and the size will be adjustable using the Transform Selection function).
